Kirt Lyons was born youngest son. He is survived by 2 older brothers Mike and Tim his parents Robert and Nancy Lyons.

Kirt was killed in a car crash very early in the morning of January 21, 1989. The car he was a passenger in lost control and hit a tree, then rolled several times. He was pronounced died on the scene by local rescue crews. E.J. Mead was also killed in the crash. Three other people survived the accedent (out of 5). The person that was driving the car could not be determined and was speculated to be one of the survivers.

The high school in Webberville Michigan dedicated a new fitness room in his honor after his death. He was a very sports driven individual and loved to work out.

Kirt was valedictorian of his senior class, a member of the National Honor Society, and Academic All-Conference athlete in three sports, and he received an appointment to the United States Military Academy, West Point. As an athlete, Kirt was a two time All-Conference football player receiving All-State honors his senior year. He holds numerous records in football and was awarded All-Conference and All-District player honors in baseball. Kirt served as Vice President of Student Council, Vice President of his senior class, and as President of the National Honor Society. He was also team captain of the football team for two years. Kirt Lyons died unexpectedly in a car accident on January 21, 1989. His parents, Robert and Nancy Lyons, were at the rededication ceremony in honor of their son.

I will always remember him and miss his drive for life.
