William Wayne "Bill" Drinkwater was born on 14 May 1923 to William Woods Drinkwater and Vera (Rawlings) Drinkwater and died on 29 Dec 2015. He married Margaret Dement. Bill and Margaret had three sons. Bill served in the Army during World War II. After his service, he graduated from University of Delaware with a master's degree. He was the owner of a heating and air conditioning firm in Meridian, Mississippi.
Bill was a member of the MCC Community Band and MCC Jazz Band. He was part of the jazz group that performed at the World's Fair in New Orleans and at Carnegie Hall. He performed in pit orchestras for Meridian Little Theatre and Meridian Community College.
