GRAMPIAN - Carl L. Antes, 76, Penn Township, Grampian RD, died in his home at 6 p.m. yesterday, April 29.
He was born July 12, 1891, in Lawrence Township, a son of Alex and Sarah (Ogden) Antes. He was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church.
Mr. Antes is survived by his wife, the former Edna Wood, and these sons and daughters: Philip, Hilton, N.Y., John, Quanah, Tex.; Fred, Grampian; James, Johnstown, Mrs. Helen Shatto, Harrisburg; Mrs. Boyce (Madeline) Hellopeter, Rockton; Mrs. Esther Fetter, Versailles, Ky.; and Mrs. Charles (Sarah) Parks, Dover, Del. There are 23 grandchildren.
His parents, a brother and a sister preceded Mr. Antes in death.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home. The Rev. S. O Sigworth will officiate and burial will be in LaJose Cemetery.
Friends will be received in the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and until the hour of service.
