She was born March 25, 1924 in New Waterford, daughter of Raymond G. and Tirzah L. Hawkins Baker and had lived in the East Palestine area all of her life.
She was preceded in death January 12, 2001 by her husband, William Eugene Noel whom she married September 18, 1947.
Helen was a member of the Salem Area Scampers and spent many winters in Punta Gorda, Florida.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Wonda J.) Kummer of Columbiana; a son, David R. (Christine) Noel of East Palestine; a sister, Virginia M Baker of East Palestine; and seven grandchildren, Mrs. Jason (Heidi) Watson of Spring Lake MI, Bridget Kummer of Charlotte NC, Liesl Kummer of Independence KY, Dr. Gretchen Kummer of Apex NC, Adrienne, Natalie and Craig Noel, and a nephew, Robert Baker, all of East Palestine.
She was preceded by a brother Noble Morgan Baker;
Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with Len Derico, minister of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call 3-5 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
