Susannah McCune, the daughter of John McCune, was born in Cumberland Co., PA. If the newspaper account of her age at death was correct, she would have been born c1743. Others claim that she was born in 1760.
Susannah married, as his second wife, John Barr of Letterkenny Tp., Franklin Co., OH. After his death in 1806, she and her four mostly grown children moved west to Franklin Co., OH.

Freeman's Chronicle, a weekly newspaper in Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH.  Vol. 2, No. 13 of this newspaper dated 10 Dec 1813 contained this item:  "Died--In Montgomery Twp. in this county on the 7th inst. Mrs. Susannah Barr, aged 70."  She was likely buried in the North Graveyard (also known as Old North Cemetery), the first of the four early graveyards serving the city of Columbus.  The city was expanding and the burials in this cemetery were eventually supposed to have been removed to Green Lawn, although various remains were discovered up to at least 2001 in excavation projects.  The site of the original cemetery has been built over.  Although it is undetermined if Susannah's remains stayed in the old cemetery or were moved to Green Lawn, it seems reasonable to consider that at least one of her sons would have seen to it that her remains were moved to a more perpetual resting place. There is, however, no tombstone in Green Lawn, which may be an indication that her remains were not moved.
