Beloved father and grandfather passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at Chesaning Nursing Care Center following a battle with cancer. Age 93 years. The son of the late Albert and Cora (Neurmenger) Ludlum, Dale was born December 8, 1921 in Kochville Township, Michigan. Dale graduated from Arthur Hill High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Battles of Papuan, New Guinea and Luzon. Dale's decorations and citations included the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post #1859. Dale was previously married to Ruth Weber. He later married Betty Brown on November 16, 1968. She predeceased him April 22, 2006. Dale was employed as a welder at Baker Perkins for 35 years until his retirement in 1984. In his earlier years he enjoyed bowling and fishing. Most recently, he liked watching television and taking care of his dogs, Most of all, he loved time spent with his grandson, Connor.

Surviving are two daughters and one son, Dana Flask and her husband Michael, Edgewood, New Mexico; Jodi Gillette, Carrollton; Rodney Ludlum, Chesaning; five grandchildren, Micky, Christy, Vito, Joe and Connor; several nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Roy, Earl, Lester (Junior), Florence and Gertrude.

Dale's family extends their gratitude and appreciation to Memorial Healthcare Hospice and Chesaning Nursing Care Center for the loving care they provided.

Honoring Mr. Ludlum's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled.
