Mrs. Ankers was born Feb. 12, 1920, in Alameda to Louis and Anna Sobrero.
She married Harry Ankers on Feb. 8, 1941, at St. John's Episcopal Church in San Francisco.
Mrs. Ankers was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed needlepoint, flower arranging, playing cards and being with family and friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Kathie Ankers of Daly City; son, Robert Ankers of San Francisco; brother, Howard Sobrero of Graeagle; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; three nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.
