Sacred to the memory of WILLIAM FORBES Esq and JANE his wife; and of JAMES FORBES Esq of Seaton, son of the above who d 7 Aug 1829 aged 92 and MARGARET GORDON, his wife, dau of Admiral William Gordon, who d 1841; and of WILLIAM OSWALD FORBES Esq only son of the above who d Feb 1794 and of ELIZABETH FORBES, dau of the above James Forbes and Margaret Gordon, and wife of Lieutenant General James Hay who d Sept 30 1861 aged 78.

Sacred to the memory of HANNAH CHARLOTTE HAY dau of General the Lord James Hay and Elizabeth Forbes, his spouse, b Sept 1818 d Aug 1819 and of the General the Lord JAMES HAY, second son of George 7th Marquis of Tweeddale and Hannah Charlotte Maitland, his wife, who was born 1786 and died at Spa on 19 Aug 1862. Lord JAMES HAY was present in the Battles of Copenhagen, Vimeira, Busaco, Fuentes d. Onor, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Nivelle, Nive and Waterloo, was Colonel of the 86th Regiment of Foot and received the War Medal with eight clasps.
MALCOLM VIVIAN HAY of Seaton K.St.J, LLD, DL JP, Jan 21 1881 – Dec 27 1962, Historian and last Laird of Seaton.
Greatly loved.
Also his loving wife ALICE IVY WIGMORE 1895-1982, a Dame of Grace of the Most Venerable Order of Jerusalem.
