Thank You for visiting My Precious Grandmother —She was more like a Mom to me.

In Loving Memory ——Special Thank You to Joyce — 47082087 for Correcting her Photo and Improving My Grandmother's Picture. Thank you Joyce.

Survived by daughters , son in law's, son …

Grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family and friends….

Lucille Lillian Price remembers her Mother passing away in the Home from Tuberculosis. She, however, did not comprehend her grandmother, Martha Jane Basham Price 22566152, telling her and her brothers to go outside and celebrate the St. Louis Cardinals Championship Game Win, when her mother just had passed. She recalled the noisemakers from neighbors celebrating the Game Win and it left an impression in her ten year old mind.

Thank You for visiting My Precious Grandmother —She was more like a Mom to me.
She was attentive to listening whenever I needed to talk... and respectful of others. I felt her love everyday. She taught me how to crochet, cooking with her was a blessing.

She enjoyed every Holiday and everyday especially due to her lonely days in the Orphanage.

I had a close relationship with this Beautiful Lady. I was with her when she passed, as was her daughter Judy. Family came to visit with her, as it was her wishes to be cremated and ashes were buried in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

She enjoyed Patsy Cline, Country Music, but also Elvis, including instrumental music

She enjoyed going to the Grand Ole Opry. By going with her, I often got her the autographs, exposing me to Country Music. We went to Elvis Concert. Tom Jones concert. Kenny Rogers and more Special Memories together.

I remember the song " Yesterday When I Was Young," by Roy Clark, we both enjoyed.

As earlier said " She lost her mother very young due to Tuberculosis. She and her brother Ralph were placed in an Orphanage. Girls and Boys lived in separate buildings and quarters. She and Ralph were not allowed any visitors, in fact she did not understand as a ten year old child. [ Due to the Tuberculosis disease, it was a safety issue, something she did find out from relatives later in her life, which gave her peace of mind as she in her 70's ]. She had designated house duties, scrubbing the hardwood floors to make them shine, serving bread during the meals… Her life was filled with hardships but she was a Survivor.

Thank you for your visiting her Memorial... especially on her Special Days. Jan 15th Wedding Anniversary.

Special Memories of and with her.

Cause of Death—Alzheimer's

If Alzheimer's Could Speak …

Talk to me …
I can hear your words
and they still touch my soul.

Smile at me …
My eyes can see you and feel your heart
even if I don't remember how to smile back.

Hold my hand …
I can feel your energy when our hands connect.
It makes me feel safe and less alone.

Love me …
My heart can feel your Love even if
my words can't express mine.

Live your life …
Help me on my path but don't press pause
on your life. Be the vibrant person I know and love.

Trust the process…
I know this is hard and not what we planned
but trust the process. We can't control it but
we can choose our focus. Remember the good
times, know that I am ok and that ….
You are in my Heart always.

A favorite poem —by Eugene Field —-his Memorial 4706

The little toy dog is covered with dust,
But sturdy and stanch he stands;
And the little toy soldier is red with rust,
And his musket molds in his hands.
Time was when the little toy dog was new,
And the soldier was passing fair;
And that was the time when our Little Boy Blue
Kissed them and put them there.

"Now, don't you go till I come," he said,
"And don't you make any noise!"
So, toddling off to his trundle-bed,
He dreamt of the pretty toys;
And, as he was dreaming, an angel song
Awakened our Little Boy Blue
Oh! the years are many, the years are long,
But the little toy friends are true!

Ay, faithful to Little Boy Blue they stand,
Each in the same old place
Awaiting the touch of a little hand,
The smile of a little face;
And they wonder, as waiting the long years through
In the dust of that little chair,
What has become of our Little Boy Blue,
Since he kissed them and put them there.
