Peter was living in Carter County, Tennessee with his brother John who owned 115 acres. Members of the Waggoner family from Rowan County N.C. were also residing in Carter County at the time. William Vannoy and Peter Engle were living in Carter County and later move to Knox County, KY with Peter. Gen. Hugh White and Catherine Cain, daughter to Peter, were married in Carter County in 1803.
