Mrs. D.H. King, who had been ill for some time, passed away Friday morning at six o'clock at her home south of town, the direct cause of her death being apoplexy. Short funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon at six o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.F. Rogers, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. The remains were shipped to the old home of the family at Wheaton, Ill. Saturday morning, accompanied by Misses Hattie and Annie King, daughters of the deceased, and were interred Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. Deceased was 63 years of age and is survived by a husband and eight children. Two sons live in Chicago, one in Wyoming, two daughters in Denver and one in Des Moines, besides the two daughters who made their home with thier parents. Mrs. King had for many years been a member of the Presbyterian Church and was a woman of many splendid traits of character, beloved by all who knew her.

The community was shocked Friday morning when the word went out that Mrs. David King was dying at her home south of town and when the word came later that she was dead a feeling of sadness pervaded every heart and home and everyone entered into sympathy with the bereaved husband and children who were at her bedside when the angel of death called to take her from her home and loved ones.
