Edith Barbara (Arsenault) Newsom was born June 30, 1929, in Fitchburg, Mass., the daughter of Albert Dennis and Helen C. (LaPointe) Arsenault.
Edith lived in many States including Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Alaska, and New Mexico, as well as in Germany, as she traveled with her husband, Charlie, while he was in the U.S. Army.
Edith is survived by her husband, Charlie L. Newsom, whom she married April 18, 1949, at St. Bernard's Parish in Fitchburg. Massachusetts; her son, Charles L. Jr. (Cindy-Lou) Newsom of Warren, Ohio; her daughters, Catherine Ann (Christopher) Rodgers of Mercer, Pennsylvania, and Rosemary Ann (Charlie) Reynolds, of Virginia.; her brother Raymond Joseph Arsenault of Milan, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Helen M. LeBlanc; and her two brothers, Ronald Edward Arsenault and Albert Donald Arsenault.
Family and friends paid their respects Friday morning at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Angela Merici Parish (formerly Sacred Heart Church), officiated by the Rev. Kevin Peters.
