Clifford L. (Old Man Cooper) Cooper, age 89 of Maryville died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at Maryville Healthcare Center. He was a member of Springview Baptist Church; Alcoa 25-Year Club; American Angus Association; and one of the founders of the Alnwick Community Club.
Preceded in death by: wife, Mary Cooper; son, Danah Cooper; granddaughter, Chasity Cooper; brothers, Kermit and Roscoe Cooper; sisters, Phyllis and Ruth.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law of Maryville; grandchildren; great-grandson; four brothers and sisters-in-law all of Lafollette, one brother and sister-in-law of Corryton; sister and brother-in-law of Lafollette; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2003 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Alvin Tallent officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Springview Baptist Church, 4220 U.S. Hwy 411 South, Maryville, TN 37801.
