NORMAND R. MENARD, 63, of 30 Weeks St., a mason and cement finisher for Eastern Landscaping Inc. of North Smithfield for five years, retiring in 1990, died yesterday at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. He was the husband of Lucille (Marcil) Menard.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Gosselin) Menard, he moved to Cumberland nine months ago.
Mr. Menard had been a self-employed mason for 20 years.
Besides his wife, he leaves five sons, John "Mike" Menard, Paul Menard, James Menard and Thomas Menard, all of Woonsocket, and Raymond Menard of Harrisville; three daughters, Patricia Tout of Manchester, N.H., Judith Kaveny of Cumberland, and Christine Nye of Pawtucket; a brother, Robert Menard of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Lillian Menard and Claire Dupont, both of Woonsocket; and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, North Main Street. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, South Bellingham, Mass.
