Ethel Marie Awtrey Baldwin passed away Tuesday January 5, 2016 at NMMC-Tupelo at the age of 80 after an extended illness. She was born July 26, 1935 to the late William and Mable King Awtrey. Marie worked for many years until retirement with her husband Gene in their family-owned grocery businesses, the Kwik Shop and Pappy's. Marie was an avid MSU fan and MSU sporting events were her hobby.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who trusted in God's grace each day.

A Memorial Service will be Friday January 8, 2016at 11 AM at First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Friday from 9-11 AM at the church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Eugene W. Baldwin; by daughter Susie (Bob), son Rick, daughter Kay (Johnny), and 4 grandchildren – Will Rambo, Walt Rambo, Taylor Vandiver, and Alex Baldwin; and 5 great-grandchildren – Addison Rambo, Lilla Rambo, Wyatt Rambo, Kinley Rambo, and Isaac Rambo. She is also survived by one sister, Ann Cooper, and two brothers, Frank Autrey and Jim Awtrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Kathryn Provencher, Coburn Awtrey, Lois Bittle, and Lucy Lippincott.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons, the American Lung Association, or the charitable organization of your choice.
