Anita D. Stephens, age 76, died Sunday Dec 10, 1995 at the nursing home in Sansom Park, Tarrant County, Texas, where she had been a fifty year resident.

She was the daughter of John Asbury Townsend & Ida "Whittington" Townsend, and was born as one of a set of triplets on June 13, 1919 in Texas. She had five brothers, and five sisters in this household.

She married Alton Ernest Stephens, about 1939 in Texas. They had five sons and two daughters together.

Her husband, Alton E. Stephens, preceded her in death in 1983. Also preceding her in death are: her mother & Father, John & Ida Townsend, 2 sisters; Bertha Underwood, & Vonell Powitzky; 5 brothers; Shirley Hildreth Townsend, Charles P. Townsend, George Beverly Townsend, Clayton Thomas Townsend, & John Asbury Townsend Jr.

Survivors were: 5 sons, Bill Stephens, Thomas Stephens, Joe Stephens, Charles Stephens, & Jerry Stephens. 2 daughters; Annette Spencer & Jeanette Wycoff. 3 sisters; Dorothy DePino, Doris Ritchie, & Ida Belle Street. Also surviving are 20 grand children, and 3 great-grandchildren.
