The death announcement published in The Burlington Free Press (Burlington, Vermont) on 29 March 29, 1895 states "Mr. Leslie was a man who had many warm friends, and his quiet, pleasant manner, his integrity and his marked business ability won many admirers. He was the brother of Mrs. Theodore S. Peck...".
Mr Leslie became ill, and moved to Burlington to live with his sister and brother in law for the last few months of his life.
