To the probate judge of said county: We, the undersigned commissioners, appointed by the court of said county, having been duly sworn proceded on the 20th day of April to divide and make partition between and among John D. Grimes, Thomas J. Grimes, Laura P. Hinkle, wife of L. H. Hinkle, and Mattie S. Grimes tenants in common on the lands descended to them as children and heirs at law of George W. Grimes, deceased. Whereupon we have made and do hereby make the following appropriations among the respective claimants in severatly: that is to say:

The Lot No. 3 is assigned and appropriated to John D. Grimes in severalty bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake on the river bank corner to No. 2, running thence S. 87 1/2 degrees East seventy chains to a dogwood, corner to No. 2, thence South 3 degrees West thirty-six chains and fifty-six links to a stone on the old line; thence North 87 1/4 degrees West nine chains and seventy links to a stone, holders corner; North 3 degrees West four chains and fifty six links to a stone, his corner; North 87 1/2 degrees West twelve chains and sixty one links to a stake, his corner; North 3 degrees West twenty chains to a stone, his corner; thence North 87 1/2 degrees West forty three chains to a stake on the bank of the river; thence up the same as it meanders to the beginning containing one hundred and twenty-five acres, valued at fourteen hundred and eighty-five dollars.

Lot No. 1--For Laura P. Hinkle, wife of D. H. Hinkle. Lines of Hege, Hill, Michael, and the widows dower--125 1/2 acres.

Lot No. 2--For Thomas J. Grimes, on bank of the Yadkin River, Walser and Byerlys line. --128 acres

Lot No. 4--For Mattie S. Grimes, on Reedy Creek and Hanes Mill Property, Hege line--94 acres.
