Born in Rexburg, Idaho, the seventh of twelve children of Alexander Erikson and Elizabeth Isabel Parker Erikson, Raymond Erikson, 99, completed his earthly life at the Rexburg Nursing Center.

He married LaVon Hamilton (d. November 11, 1964) November 18, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He married Helen Ferney (d. August 1, 1979) December 1966.

An avid reader, he kept abreast of current. A bishop for nine years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he held position of leadership in the organization.

His children: Maureen (Arden) Stewart, Guy (Leola) Erikson, Keith (Cora Ley) Erikson; a brother, Arvel Erikson; two sisters, Amy Willis and Ruth (Dale) Clark; two brothers-in-law, Thomas (Marian) Hamilton and Vene Kunz; 18 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren survive Raymond. Predeceased by his parents, wives, five brothers, three sisters and two great grandchildren.

An obituary with photo was published in the Rexburg Standard Journal, Thursday, September 21, 2004. Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg arranged the services.
