It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie (Bruce) Galloway at Pine Grove Nursing Home on Tuesday at the age of 93. She lived a long and productive life until her health went into decline a year ago. She and her late husband, Blanch Bruce, operated a General Store in South Portage for many years before selling the business in the mid-seventies. She was also predeceased by her second husband, George Galloway, in 1995. She was a devout Jehovah's Witness and a member of the Nashwaak Congregation.

She is survived by her son James Bruce (Nancy) of Windsor, Ontario; four grandchildren, Dr. Carmen Stuart (Tom) and Dawn Cloutier (Kirt) both of Fredericton; James Bruce Jr. (Natilie) of Windsor; Robert Bruce (Nancy) of Tecumseh; five great grandchildren, Dylan Stuart (Shannon) of Fredericton, Blake Stuart of St. Johns, Newfoundland, Justine Cloutier and Remy Cloutier (Fran) of Windsor; and Courtney Bruce of Windsor; four step great grandchildren, Derek Arthurs and Paige Arthurs of Tecumseh; Alicia Berube (Justin) and Gilbert Gordon both of Windsor; one great great granddaughter Ella Cloutier of Windsor. She was predeceased by her daughter, Marie Hood, her parents Charles and Viola Ladds of Maugerville, and eight brothers.

The family will receive condolences at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Friday, Oct. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Oct.20 at 1 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1045 St. Mary's Street (Killarney Road) with Claude Gilks presiding. Burial at Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery.
