George Morshead and his wife, Lillie, were living in Globe, Arizona where George was a clerk at the Old Dominion general offices. He left on April 1, 1918 for a position in California with the shipbuilding department of the U.S. government. He shot himself at a Los Angeles bath house, and died in a Los Angeles hospital.
