He was born Feb. 5, 1958, to Rex and Bobbie Mitchell in Greenville.
God needed a tractor mechanic in heaven so he brought home the very best.
Buddy loved the special time he spent with his grandchildren. They were the loves of his life. He loved teaching J.J. and Tori the things he enjoyed doing. He loved building forts with J.J. and playing dolls with Tori. He also loved taking them to the park and swinging them on the tire swing.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; sons, Richard Mitchell Jr., Steven Glover Mitchell, and Timothy John Mitchell “TJ” Sr.; brother, David Mitchell; sister, Debbie Jean Sills; grandchildren, J.J., Tori, Azlynn, Kaden, Trinity, Gage, and Gunner Mitchell; and another very special member of the family, Daisy the dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cathy Ray; mother-in-law, Momma Day; and father-in-law, John Day.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kingston Baptist Church in Greenville. Interment to follow at Tidwell Cemetery.
