Ogden/Garland- Sandra Kay Nalder Vinson, 71, passed away on December 8, 2015 of cancer. She was born on January 2, 1944 to Arvell & Thelma Combe Nalder. Sandra grew up in Garland on the family farm, which instilled in her the value of hard work and a love of horses. She was a real cowgirl. She was crowned Miss Ogden Rodeo (1961) at the age of 17. She was one of the youngest Queens. Later in life, she traded her spurs for a rolling pin, making pies to sell at the Farmer’s Market where she became known as “The Pie Lady”.

She is survived by her son, Brett; grandchildren, Braden, Skyler & Cassie; great grandchildren, Axel & Bristal; one sister, IlaMae (Dean) VanValkenburg; and one brother, Blaine Nalder, Pasco, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Roy Nalder.

Sandra will be greatly missed by her family, friends and everyone who enjoyed a delicious slice of her pie.

Funeral services for Sandra will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT). There will be a viewing held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m.- 12:45 p.m. Interment at the Garland Cemetery.
