Carolyn J. Allen-Manning, age 67, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at home. She was born February 1, 1944, to the union of Milton Henry and Eunice Y. Richardson-Brummall. She accepted Christ at an early age at Bethel Baptist Church under the pastorship of the late Rev. L.C. Rice. For many years she served in Sunday school, the choir, and many auxiliaries in the church. She was educated in the Kansas City, Kansas public school system and graduated from Sumner High School in 1963. She was employed at International Paper for over twenty years. Carolyn loved keeping in touch on a daily basis with family and her beloved son. She was truly our angel sent from above and now she has gone to be with our heavenly Father. Carolyn loved gospel music; one of her favorite artist was James Cleveland. She also loved reading the Bible. On August 17, the Lord decided to call Carolyn Jane home to be with Him. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Her son, Frank III, (Veronica) Allen of Killeen, TX, her grandsons, Frank Allen IV, and John Iman Allen; her three sisters Catherine E. Harris, of Kansas City, KS, JoMaria (Willie C.) Anderson, of Greenwood, MO, and Vickie (William Sr.) Washington, of Kansas City, KS; an aunt, Barbara J. Harris of Kansas City, MO; an Uncle Alvin Scott (Velma) Richardson of Tucson, AZ; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Interment will be in Parklawn Cemetery. Services conducted by Mrs. J.W. Jones Memorial Chapel.
