Babe Herman Bowen, 82, of LaGrange, GA passed away 12 Jan 2016. Babe was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired after 21 years. He served in Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Bowen was of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret Dale Bowen and Reese Bowen; brothers, Butch Bowen, Raymond Bowen and Eugene Bowen.
Babe is survived by his wife of 32 years Maxine Bowen; step-children, Loraine (Bill) Pike and Mitch (Beth) Crocker; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Adams; brothers, Reese “Buck” Bowen Jr., Greg (Deloris) Bowen, Billy (Martha) Bowen, Jerome (Marjorie) Bowen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 13 Jan 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, 14 Jan 2016 at the chapel and burial will follow at Wehadkee Baptist Church Cemetery.
