Mr. Donald Weaver, 84, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016, at Superior Care Home in Paducah, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Alan Milligan and Pastor Mindy Farren officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Donald was a member of Powers United Methodist Church, Korean War Army Veteran, farmer, millwright, and member of Carpenter’s Local #1076 of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
Donald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary (Mann) Weaver; daughter, Debra Lee Cornette and husband Daniel; son, Richard Leslie Weaver and wife Andrea; three grandchildren, Leslie Anne Cornette, Jacob Lee Cornette, and Mary Elizabeth “Maggie” Weaver; three great grandchildren, Aiden, Tiffany, and Kacey Cornette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Dick and Elsie (Dummier) Weaver; three sisters, Betty, Jean, and Joan Weaver; one brother, James Weaver.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.
