Burton Lynn Stout passed away in Southaven, Mississippi. On Nov. 21, 1942, he married Miss Paula Virginia Park of Heelstring, Arkansas, who went on before him.

Also preceding him in death were his parents, Charles Wesley Stout and Florence Mason Caywood; brother, Charles Junior Stout; and a daughter, Mana Lyle Stout.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Mason Herbrandson of Corvallis, OR; daughter, Gayle Hardwick (Danny) of Southaven, MS, and three sons, Barry Stout (Dottie) of Arlington, TN; Byron Stout (Patricia) of Horn Lake, MS; and Scot Stout of Jefferson City, MO; seven grandchildren, Todd Hardwick (Shelly), Kyle Hardwick, Mark Hardwick (Misty), Rachel Evans (Sandy), Ragan Memmott, Shane Ferguson (Brandy), and Misty Ferguson Stout-Wood (Charles); and four great-grandchildren, Brady Foster, Benjamin Hardwick, Katherine Hardwick, and Ethan Hardwick.

Lynn was a christian and a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. He was the baritone in the Memphis gospel quartet known as the Southernaires in the 1950s and 1960s. Lynn was also a life-long Mason. He enjoyed gardening and wood carving, sharing both with family and friends. Lynn was a voracious reader, especially of Zane Grey westerns, and never lost his love for learning new things. He loved keeping up with relatives, and was proud to have a genealogy that reached back over 800 years.

The funeral was held January 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, Corning, Arkansas, with Linda Johnson officiating. Graveside service with military honors followed at Richwoods Cemetery under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning.
