Ancle L. Bonham, 57, died last night at his home, 1554 B St., Sparks.

A former Southern Pacific Co. employee, Mr. Bonham was retired. He was a battalion chief of the Sparks Fire Department; a member of Silver State Post No. 3396, VFW; Blacksmiths Local No. 158, and Reno Aerie No. 207, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary M. Bonham; a daughter, Mary N. Bonham, and a son, Edward L. Bonham. Also surviving are four brothers, Floyd Johnson and Herbert, Theodore and Hale Bonham. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are pending at the Walton Funeral Home.

Battalion Chief of the Sparks Fire Department; member of Silver State Post No.3396 V.F.W. of Sparks; Blacksmiths Local No. 158 of Sparks and Reno Aerie No. 207 Fraternal Order of Eagles. Funeral services, to which friends are invited, will be held in the Sierra Chapel of Walton Funeral Home, corner of West 2nd and Vine Streets on Wednesday morning at 8:15 o'clock, and will be followed by a Requiem Mass at The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Pyramid Way, Sparks at 9 o'clock. Interment in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary in the Sierra Chapel o Walton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 until 9 p.m.

(Date of birth in government records given as 18 Feb. 1897, six months after d.o.b. given by his brother, Robert Hale Bonham) Name often written as "Ancil" in newspaper articles, which is likely the way it was spoken.
