Catherine Ann Meehan Pavia, sister of William (Bill) Meehan, passed away on Jan. 1, 2016, in the Mt. Sinai Hospice Hospital in Manhattan, New York, of natural causes.
Catherine was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 24, 1925, to William and Dora (Prescott) Meehan. She attended school at Incarnation Catholic Grade School. Catherine attended and graduated from Little Flower High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduation she worked in the office of Manufacturer’s Golf Club. Catherine then moved to New York City and was employed by Arkrite Export Corp. She met and married Leonard Pollock and they had a daughter Leslie. After the death of her first husband, Catherine met and married Richard Pavia, deceased. Catherine was self-employed, owning two businesses; New Economic Venture Group and National Professional Writers Group.
Catherine is survived by her brother William (Bill) Meehan and sister-in-law Dolly of Douglas, and several nieces. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents William and Dora Meehan of Douglas, daughter Leslie Pollock Blonigan, sister Mary Anderberg, brother in-law Edward Anderberg, husbands Leonard Pollock and Richard Pavia, all of New York.
