Moses B. Stanchfield Succumbs – Was 81 Years Old
After a residence of over 30 years in Minneapolis, Moses B. Stanchfield died Wednesday night at his residence, 3039 Lyndale Avenue South. He had lived there for the last 15 years. Mr. Stanchfield, who was 81 years of age, was one of the pioneers of the state, coming to Minnesota in 1879 when Minneapolis was still a frontier town. The first few years in the territory were spent by him in the lumber and logging camps, where he had charge of the extensive work being carried on by Eastern firms. The funeral will take place from the residence today at 2PM.
