Services for Ruth Childers, 79, of Durant, Oklahoma will be Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 2:00pm at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Rev. Charles Howard will be officitating. Mrs. Childers left this world to meet her beloved husband Jake, in Heaven, on Friday, September 8, 2006 at Wilson N Jones Hosptial in Sherman, Texas. Mrs. Childers was born on October 24, 1926 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Charles H. and Lula (Evans) Johnson. They later moved to Caddo, Oklahoma where Ruth met the love of her life Jake Childers. They married on August 20, 1948 and made their home in Caney, Oklahoma where they made a living farming. They had 2 daughters, JoAnn and Aleah. Mrs. Childers loved her family and her many friends. Her sweet smile and loving touch will be missed by many. Mrs. Childers lived her life to the fullest. Her beautiful granddaughter, Madi Bell, was her pride and joy. She loved her life in her new home with her little dog, Snow White. Ruth loved to travel and enjoyed the frequent trips with her daughters.. Her family includes: Daughters and sons in law; JoAnn Stuckey-Rogers and Bob Rogers: Aleah "Leedy" and Gary Bell and granddaughter Madison Mackenzie Bell, all of Durant, Oklahoma. Sisters: Dolly Moore and Sue Thague, of Phoenix, Arizona; Noble Holmes, of Glenrose, Texas... Brothers and sister in law: Roy Johnson of Borger, Texas...Billy Ray and RayDean Johnson of Oregon and numerous neices and nephews and cousins.... Mrs. Childers was preceeded in death by three brothers: J.P. & Tom, and Allen Johnson; her parents and a sister Norene Young. Burial will be in the Folsom Cemetery, Caney, Oklahoma... Pallbearers will be Kent Hutson, David Fogg, Don Shipman, Eric Shipman, Steve Downs, and Allan Paris... Family hour will be Monday, Sept 11 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Durant, Oklahoma.... Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Ruth Childers was born October 24th 1926.
Her husband was Jake Childers.

Ruth had three daughters - Deb Hutson of Atoka County, Aleah Bell of Bryan County, and Joann Stuckey Rogers of Bryan County.

Ruth was kindhearted, ready for laughs, and she loved attention.
Ruth loved spending time with family, Going on vacation in Shrevport, and just having a good time.
Ruth also loved spending time with her little Pekingesese dog "Snowwhite Lila Bell". Snowwhite was her pride and joy and she looked forward to seeing her everyday.

Ruth & Jake had currently resided right next to her daughter and son-in-law Aleah & Garry Bell. And granddaughter Madi Bell.

May Ruth rest in peace next to her husband Jake forever.
