Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Morgan and Beulah DeHart Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Alexander who died February 2, 2010 and a sister, Linda Mason. Jessie was a longtime member of Patton United Methodist Church and held various volunteer roles there. She enjoyed walking, reading, crocheting and spending time with her sisters and friends. Jessie enjoyed being involved in the lives of her sons and their families.
She is survived by two sons, John M. Alexander (Marnia) of Cleveland, TN and Thomas R. Alexander (Colleen) of Laurel, MD; three sisters, Maxine “Bill” Bates, Louise Cook and Geraldine “Tookie” Morgan all of Franklin; five grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle, Dillon, Patrick and Cameron and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 18, at Patton United Methodist Church. Pastor Susan German will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, January 17, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Alexander, Kyle Alexander, Dillon Alexander, Patrick Alexander, Cameron Alexander and Jeremy Decker.
