Alice Vance Burnette Venittelli, born to Thaddeus Burnette and Grace Walker Burnette went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 09th, 2016.

She passed away from complications of Alzheimer's disease.
By her side was her husband Salvatore Venittelli, son Gio (Mary)Venittelli, daughters Paula(Jim) Halvorson and Denise Herdandez (Mark). And several grand children.

Alice was born and raised in Black Mountain, NC. The youngest of three siblings, and the last of her generation.
She lived a fulfilling and wonderful life. She was a professional Opera singer and spoke and sang in many different languages.

After graduation she left Black Mountain NC and fulfilled her life long dreams of singing professionally on stage performing and singing Opera, in New York, NY.

There she met Sal Venittelli a wonderful violinist/violist who played world wide for the Philharmonic orchestra and many others. They married upon June 01, 1957 and settled in the Northern part of the United States. Sal and Alice shared nearly fifty-nine beautiful years of marriage together.

After many years of working and performing and having their three children, they decided to move back to Black Mountain, North Carolina.
There they settled into a country life style, with their children and grand-children living within Black Mountain, NC.

Alice was known through out the mountains and valleys of this beautiful country side. It was nothing for her to break out into song while in a store or her neighborhood, for people adored her and hearing her beautiful and sweet voice. Such a wonderful tiny woman, and such a beautiful experienced voice she indeed had.

In 2013 a decision was made and Sal & Alice moved to Riverside County in California.
With her devoted and loving husband Sal by her side, their daughters, son, son in laws and other family sweet adorable Alice lived a fulfilled life towards the end, knowing she was loved and cared for by the very best her family.

Now she is with her Mother and Father, her sister and brother.
And singing I believe within Gods Choir.
She will always be remembered for all our life, missed and so importantly loved and treasured .
Update; Alice's husband Sal passed away Sunday May 01, 2020, sitting in his recliner in his home in California. He fell asleep and went quietly with God.
