Velvette Mable Heath, 70, of Palo, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy after a courageous battle with a long illness.
Velvette Mable Heath was born November 3, 1945 in Ames, the daughter of Emett and Jerine Kraft Abbott.
She was a hair stylist and owned Velvette’s Hairstyling in Palo for many years.
Velvette loved her animals, watching fireworks, working in her garden and spending time camping.
Her work was her social life. She felt lucky that she got to spend time with her many clients that were also her friends.
Velvette is survived by Daniel Dillemuth of Palo and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald.
Services: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. John Howerton. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday after 9:30 a.m.
