Asa came from Tyaskin, Somerset County, Maryland. In 1850 census there are the following listed there with him: William, Sephus-21; Demerious-17; In 1880 he is still in Maryland and Asa-28; Martha 17; Zachary 8/12 listed also.
Asa Sr was in Ohio by 1835 then in Jay Co, IN by 1850 where he lived out his life. He was married twice, once to Mary the mother of all his kids born before 1860 then again to Mary Blackbun about 1860 with whom he had more kids.
