PRINCETON - Ruby F. Bailey, 69, of 100 Church Lane, Princeton, died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at her home.
Born Jan. 7, 1936 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late John E. Owens and Gertrude Reed Owens.
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church at Spanishburg. She enjoyed attending church and going to water aerobics class with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin E. Bailey; and two brothers, James E. Owens and Jerry A. Owens.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Elder David Bailey of the home; one daughter, Beverly Quick and her husband Steve of Athens; one son, Teddy Bailey and his wife Linda of Speedway; one daughter-in-law, Cathy Bailey of Princeton; two brothers, Robert Owens and his wife Paulette of Painsville, Ohio and Thomas R. Owens and his wife Jeannie of Rocky Gap, Va.; three sisters, Monella Lamona of Baltimore, Md., Mae Weikel of Thomasville, N.C. and Jean Shrewsbury and her husband Howard of Princeton; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and special friends, Patty and Rhonda.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Elders Tommy Pack and James Booth officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Family will serve as pallbearers.
