WILLIAM M. BILLUPS
William M. Billups, 79, a resident of Hutchinson since 1938, died Sunday night at the Masonic Home in Wichita, after a stay of three months there.
He had lived in Nickerson and Arlington before moving to Hutchinson. He was a member of the Nickerson Christian Church and the A.F. & A.M. Lodge No. 43 in Nickerson.
Mr. Billups was born Sept. 19, 1875 in Glenwood Junction, Missouri.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Norma D. Sooby of Wichita; two sons, Billy of Oklahoma City, and William of Denver; three sisters, Mrs. Adda Stoner, Mrs. Letha Hammack, and Mrs. Lizzie Evans, all of Ridgeway, Missouri; four brothers, Clyde of Santa Cruz, California, Charles of Berkley, California, Robert of Ridgeway, Missouri, and Leslie of Tillamook, Oregon; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Johnson & Sons Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Masonic Lodge No. 43 of Nickerson conducting graveside rites.
