Catharine McMaster Danielson/Donaldson was the daughter of Hugh McMaster and Mary Farran and the wife of Calvin Danielson/Donaldson. In 1833 her husband's family changed the family name from 'Danielson' to 'Donaldson,' believing that 'Donaldson' was the original family name back in 1600's Scotland. However, Catharine and her husband Calvin were buried under their older name 'Danielson.'
