MRS. JOHN S. WYETT

Mr. J. S. Wyett, wife of J. S. Wyett, of the Waverly Hall district, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver on January 10 of pneumonia, aged 47 years, 9 months, and 18 days. The deceased had been taken up to the hospital a few weeks before for an operation. She had recovered from the effects of the ordeal and was about ready to return home when she caught cold. This developed into the fatal attack of pneumonia. The body was brought back to Yuma on the afternoon train Saturday and the funeral was held at the Presbyterian Church in the city Sunday afternoon, Rev. C. M. Kirkpatrick, pastor of the church at Waverly Hall, officiating. The body was shipped the same afternoon to the old home at Brookfield, Missouri for burial.

Hanna May Wyett was born March 26, 1873 in Wapello County, Iowa and removed when three years of age to Montgomery County where she grew to womanhood. She was married March 20, 1890 to Archie Roy Atherton. To this union were born six children, four boys and two girls, all of whom are now living. Mr. Atherton passed to the Great Beyond in August, 1904 and was buried in Goodfield, Missouri, where her body is to be placed. On October 7, 1908, she was married to John E. Wyett, with whom she moved to Colorado in June 1919. She leaves to mourn her loss the husband, John Wyett, two sisters, Mrs. C. G. Chickering of Red Oak, Iowa and Mrs. John Rankin of San Diego, California, four sons Charles, William, Arthur, and Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. J. P. Stafford of Yuma and Mrs. Cecil Denton of Red Oak, Iowa; also five grandchildren. She united with the Presbyterian church when 12 years of age an has been affiliated with the work of that church ever since She was a kind and loving mother to her children and much beloved by all her neighbors and friends.
