"On January 17, our Lord welcomed his daughter Rose Pauline Bachor Wooten. She smiled her sweet smile.

"Rose Pauline Bachor was born in Hay Lakes, Alberta Canada on June 27, 1923. Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lonnie Ray Wooten, her beloved grandson, Paul Errol Schrick, Jr., her mother and father, Mary Delphine Leonsine Stafford Bachor and Gustav Gottlieb Bachor. Her precious infant son, Johnny Ray Wooten went before her.

"Rose is survived by a grieving but joyful family including Canadian relatives, brothers Albert Bachor, Dan Bachor and wife Maryann and sister-in-law Joan Bachor. Three brothers preceded Rose. Dear nieces and nephews, Allen, Glenda, Patricia, Vernon, Terence, Ricky, Jolleen, and Terry. In addition, Rose had a friend of 72 years, Edna Mack, who was like a member of the family.

"Rose’s daughters, Lynda Schrick, Mary Lonnene Wooten and Bettylee Burden were the constant light in her life. Sons-in-law Michael Locke and Paul E. Schrick, Sr. loved and respected her dearly.

"Grandchildren Brian Lee Burden, Errol Schrick, Erik Latham and wife Sonia, Erin Deel and husband Tony, Cody Lee Burden, and Emily Mitchell. Great grandchildren Alexander Lee, Brook Steadham and husband Bradley, Richard, Allison, Erika, Ivy, Gabrielle, Ian and Logan. First Great-Great Granddaughter, Hazel Elise.

"Rose’s Godly light shone in everything she did. She was a true lady who carried herself with a grace that radiated from her. A devout Christian, she led Rose’s Bible Study, delivered the mail, ran the flower Club and participated in the Reading Theatre. Rose was always there to lend a helping hand and offered friendship without hesitation. Rose ingrained a deep and abiding faith in her girls that never fails them – even in this grief.

"Previous to moving from West Texas to Broadway Plaza, Rose and Lonnie were entrepreneurs in restaurants, grocery stores, laundries, car washes, credit union, owned a Montgomery Ward outlet. Along the way, Rose and Lonnie diligently instilled in their girls a business ethic. As an involved member of the community, Rose served on the City Council, was president of the Book Club and modeled exemplary citizenship in her community.

"Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 23, at the Burkett Cemetery, with burial to follow under the direction of Allcorn Funeral Care. Viewing will be Friday evening 5 to 7 p.m. in Coleman, Texas, at Allcorn Funeral Care. Memorial donations may be made to Children’s Home of Lubbock."
