Grace L. Smith, 62, of Charlton, died Sunday, August 25, 1996 at her residence. She was born November 13, 1933 in Lock Haven a daughter of the late John and Pearl Hallett Heaton. She was married to Clair Smith who died in 1973.
She was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and a 1976 graduate of Williamsport School of Commerce. She worked for the state Department of Environmental Resources in Williamsport until she retired in 1986 She enjoyed sewing.
She was survived by a daughter, Suzanne Allen, of Charlton; a son, Kenneth Smith, of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Ruth Myers, of Mill Hall and Edith DeGarmo, of Williamsport; two brothers, John Heaton, of Howard and Raymond Heaton, of Florida; and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Helt Funeral Home, Lock Haven.
Her services were held at the Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Abernathy officiating.
Interment was in the Dunnstown Cemetery, Woodward Township, Lock Haven.
