He worked 20 years at Chambersburg Engineering Co., retiring 17 years ago.
Surviving is the widow, Sarah (Slyder) Bowers; sons, William S., Mercersburg, and Joseph S., Jr., Camp Hill, nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, brother, Harry H. Bowers, Chambersburg, sisters, Mrs. Jessie Gottschall, Harrisburg, and Mrs. Mary Knouse, Chambersburg.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Sellers Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Bower in charge. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.
There will be no viewing.
