E. J. BEARD IS DEAD
Owner of Produce Company Here Passes In Local Hospital Friday
E. J. Beard, 69, owner of the E. J. B. Produce company of Wichita, died yesterday in a local hospital. His home was at 622 South Broadway, and he came here six years ago from Independence.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl; three daughters, Mrs. H. G. Andrews of 707 South Market, Mrs. Nellie McAuly of Hastings, Neb., and Mrs. Beatrice Linton of Alva, Okla.; two sons, Dick Beard of Newton and E. N. Beard of Buffalo, N. Y., with the United States navy; two brothers, Cyrus Beard and Jack Beard of Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Rich of Hollywood, Cal., Mrs. Cora Attwell of Santa Monica, Cal., and Mrs. Effie Brown of Topeka.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday 10 a. m. from the Byrd and Snodgrass chapel with Rev. W. E. McCoy officiating. Interment will be in Wichita Park cemetery.
