She was born May 15, 1917, in Caldwell County, Ky., to Albert W. and Lucy Clayton Holeman. She worked as a food service hostess and served as a "Rosie Riveter" inspector in a manufacturing plant in World War II.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Bruel.
She is survived by two half brothers, Albert W. Holeman Jr. of Caldwell County, Ky., and Joseph Holeman of Ames, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Creekmur Cemetery in Caldwell County with the Rev. Len Young officiating.
