Susie died at age 82 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, Illinois. At the time of her death she was survived by 2 daughters, Mae Duscharme and Christine Piercefield, and one son, Clifford. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Harry Russell, and a daughter Eliza Jane.
