Mr. Paul R. Wells, 77, of RR2, Box 332, Meshoppen, PA, passed away at his home in Meshoppen Township on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 11, 2008, after a long illness.
Paul was born in Sayre on May 12, 1931, the son of the late Paul F. and Evelyn Smith Wells. Living all of his life in the Meshoppen area, he was a graduate of the Meshoppen High School, Class of 1949.
Most of his life, he was a truck driver, hauling milk for several companies around the Meshoppen area. In his spare time, he enjoyed his time spent with his family and around his home.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, the former Helen Tinna of Meshoppen; his son and wife, Jim and Evelyn Wells of Meshoppen; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his daughter, Sheila Wells Rhinevault, who passed away on May 14, 1994.
At the request of Mr. Wells, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements were made through the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Meshoppen.
