Doris (a.k.a. Sunshine or Dorie) was a wonderful person.
Only her mother whom she loved, truly knew her. Doris was caring and thoughtful; loving even those family members that didn't care for her. She was helpful to everyone who asked her for it and her favorite people were her mother, her niece and her best friend, Susie.
She was honest and kind and thoughtful. Doris would bend over backwards to help anyone in need. She brought sunshine to other people's lives and will never be forgotten.
She suffered several traumas and abuses in her early life, and finally shared these secrets with her mother 2 years before she died, and her friend Susie, 6 years before she died. Doris struggled with these secret past hurts, but she tried to be strong and loved Jesus, which gave her strength.
