Fred William Bailey, age 76 of Rivermont Drive, Kingsport, TN passed away January 20, 2016 at Wellmont Hospital in Bristol, TN. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Nimpson and Lillie Callahan Bailey. He was retired from Holston Defense Corporation in Kingsport, TN.

Fred enjoyed crossword puzzles and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include; his wife; Ruby Bailey, of Blountville, TN, one son; Daniel Vance Bailey and wife Riza Milan Bailey, of Kingsport, TN, one sister; Pauline Parker, of Kings Mountain, NC, a special grandson; William Milan Bailey, and a special granddaughter; Aja Milan Bailey.He was preceded in death by; three sisters; Rachel Million, Ruth Seatz, and Ida Goins, and two brothers; Walter and Stokes Bailey.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Sherrill Whitson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Bailey Cemetery (John Sparks Rd.). Memorials may be made to: Bailey Cemetery Fund c/o Angie Burleson 324 Blackberry Lane Bakersville, NC 28705.
