Bledsaw
DECATUR – Janette Bledsaw, 75, of Decatur, IL, died at 10:35 P.M., Monday, October 25, 2004 at Aspen Ridge Care Center.
Memorial service will be 3:00 P.M., Friday, October 29, 2004 at Northwest Christian Church, 1306 N. Stanley Ave., Decatur. Family will greet friends from 1 to 3 P.M., at the church. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, will be handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Mrs. Bledsaw was born December 4, 1928 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Perry and Mabel Miller. She married Samuel Bledsaw in December of 1947. He preceded her in death in 1957. Mrs. Bledsaw loved playing bingo and cards and loved playing with her dog, Sweetie Pie.
Surviving are her children, Brenda (Rodney) Knott of Hagerstown, MD, Sammy "Butch" (Amy) Bledsaw of Warrensburg, IL, Paula (Bob) Martin of Warrensburg, IL, Johnny (Connie) Bledsaw of Warrensburg, IL; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; long-time companion, John Carter, Sr. of Warrensburg, IL and his children, Mike (Louise) Carter of Hill River, NC, John Carter, Jr. (JJ) of Decatur, IL, Pat (Sharon) Carter of Virden, IL, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
