Francis Joseph HOWARD, 85, formerly of Canterbury Street, died Saturday in Cromwell. Born in Stamford, he lived in the Hartford area many years. He was a manager for A & P Stores for more than 25 years before he retired. He leaves a son, William S. HOWARD of East Hartford; two daughters, Mrs. Agnes ANDERSEN of Brooklyn, Connecticut, and Mrs. Gladys GARRETTO of West Hartford; and five grandchildren.
The Funeral is Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. from the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 776 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, with a Mass of the Resurrection in the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are today from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
